Carneo Shrimps - Montmorillonite Powder

Montmorillonite Powder is a high-quality mineral additive that is specifically used to improve water quality and as a natural ion exchanger in aquariums and ponds. This white, fine powder of natural calcium bentonite (with approx. 95% montmorillonite) is gently dried without chemical additives and is an indispensable aid for healthy aquarium conditions.

Effective water purification and pH stabilization

Montmorillonite naturally binds algae nutrients, heavy metals and suspended matter in the water, which sustainably improves the water quality and keeps the water clear and clean. It also stabilizes the pH value in the neutral range and thus supports the well-being of all aquarium inhabitants. The antibacterial properties also have a beneficial effect on the health of fish, shrimps and other invertebrates.

Promotes nutrient absorption and shell development

This fine powder supports digestion and nutrient absorption and promotes the development and molting of the shell in invertebrates such as shrimps and the development of the shell in snails. Thanks to its high purity and effectiveness, it is particularly suitable for aquarium enthusiasts and shrimp keepers who want to support the health of their animals in a targeted manner.

Application and dosage

Simply sprinkle the product in the aquarium or mix it with water beforehand. The water may become temporarily cloudy, but this will quickly disappear. The dosage for water changes is approximately 0.05-0.1 grams per 10 litres of water (corresponds to approximately the tip of a knife). In the event of specific water problems, the dosage can be increased in the short term.
